The first paragraph reads:
A Green Bay Packers fan who survived a plane crash yesterday credits his yellow, foam-rubber cheesehead for perhaps preventing serious injury.
If you don't know, residents of Wisconsin are sometimes referred to as "cheeseheads" due to the large production of cheese (and not much else) in this state. Green Bay Packers fans have adopted this label and show their support for their team and their state by wearing giant foam-rubber wedges of cheese on their heads at football games. Apparently, this guy was flying home from a game when the wings on his private plane iced over and his plane crashed. As he was plummeting to his death, the first thing he could think of was to cover his head with his foam rubber cheese wedge. Amazingly, he escaped major injuries. The pilot, who did not have a cheesehead handy, is currently in the hospital recovering from head injuries. There is a moral there somewhere.
